What if I don’t need updates this month?

Plan hours don’t roll over, but unused capacity buys you faster turnaround on urgent fixes when you need them. Maintenance is mostly insurance — the months you don’t need anything are the months your site is healthy and not under attack. That’s the point.

Do you do maintenance on sites you didn’t build?

Yes, with a one-time audit (priced by site complexity). We assess the existing codebase, identify risks, and clean up known issues before taking on ongoing maintenance. Some sites we decline — heavily-customized Elementor builds or sites with shaky foundations aren’t worth the maintenance risk.

What happens if WordPress breaks during an update?

We update on staging first, test for breakage, then push to production. If something breaks despite testing, we have backups from before the update and can roll back in minutes. We’ve never had a maintenance update break a production site for more than 30 minutes.

Can I downgrade or cancel?

Yes. Month-to-month, cancel anytime. If you cancel, you keep your site, your code, your backups, your everything. No lock-in clauses, no “data fees” to retrieve your stuff.

How do you handle backups?

Daily off-site backups retained 30 days. Plus pre-update snapshots before every WordPress / plugin update. Stored separately from your hosting account so a host-level incident doesn’t take both your site and your backups.

What if there’s a security incident?

We monitor 24/7 and respond same-day on business hours, next-business-day otherwise. If something happens after-hours and you need us, you have an emergency contact. We’ve never had a client compromised on Care or Care+ tier.

Why pay for a real maintenance retainer instead of a cheap plan?

Because cheap plans are automated plugin updates with no human in the loop — and the day something breaks, you’re paying emergency rates anyway. Our plans include staged updates, real backups, monitoring, and human attention. Different product.
